      CAR SERVICING

Advances in automotive technology have resulted in vehicles that are better built and longer lasting. However, no vehicle is maintenance free for life (no matter what the dealer’s commercial may promise)! To ensure peak performance and years of worry-free driving, your manufacturer has developed a recommended maintenance schedule, which is outlined in your owner’s manual.

When should my vehicle have Scheduled Maintenance?

There are two types of maintenance services: minor and major. Minor services are generally performed at 7,500, 15,000, 45,000 and 75,000 miles while major services are performed at 30,000, 60,000 and 90,000 mile intervals.

MAINTENANCE

here at Belvidere Automotive we strongly recommends that you have maintenance services performed based on the manufacturer’s suggested schedule. Additional services may also be recommended based on our inspection of the vehicle and industry standards.

      TUNING & BRAKES

When your vehicle is properly tuned, the ignition system, fuel system, emission system and computer system all work together in perfect harmony. This results in peak combustion chamber efficiency, improving performance, saving you money at the gas pump and making sure your car is emitting a minimal amount of pollutants.                                                              When it comes to safety, no part of your vehicle is more important than the brakes. They should be inspected at least once a year to determine the condition of the hydraulic system and operating hardware. While the entire braking system requires attention, the friction components (pads, shoes, rotors and drums) require constant attention because they wear down each time you apply your brakes.

      WHEELS & SUSPENSION

Where the rubber meets the road – literally.  Your car’s tires provide the link between you and the highway.  Proper maintenance is crucial to both performance and safety.  Tires should be routinely inspected for proper inflation and wear.  In addition, routine tire rotations, balancing, and alignment will greatly enhance tire life and vehicle ride.                                                                     The Shock Absorber is a component used to dampen the movement of the suspension caused by irregularities on or in the road surface.

Replacing the Shock Absorbers will ensure precision handling, stability and control and prolong the life of your tires.  Our certified technician will remove old shock absorbers, inspect and clean shock absorber mounting area of all debris, install new shock absorbers, and then test drive the vehicle.

The Strut is a component used to dampen the movement of the suspension caused by irregularities on or in the road surface.

Replacing the Struts will ensure precision handling, stability and control and prolong the life of your tires.  Our certified technicians will remove old struts, inspect and clean strut mounting area of debris, install new struts, and then test drive the vehicle.
